Not only does ALS bring a lot of additional medical expenses (doctor appointment copays, surgery bills, medication costs each months, vitamins, nutritional supplements, etc) there are also additional medical needs (gauze pads, bandages, baby wipes, equipment needed, creams & foams to prevent bed sores, etc) Along with that there are the regular living expenses, due to Hope being home full time with Steve to be his caregiver, they have limited resources. Steve is also on a special diet to assure he gets the most healthy high calorie meals as possible (ingredients for shake, protein powders, a lot of natural and raw foods, etc). Hope & Steve also try to maintain an active lifestyle to keep Steve living the happiest life he can.
